Black bean soup recipes

 

Because winter is coming we have gathered here some black bean soup recipes which will keep you warm and happy when temperatures go below zero. Beans are very healthy for us not to mention the wonderful ingredients that these soups contain: tomatoes, cilantro, carrots, garlic and onions. Here we have for you two recipes which taste amazing:

  • Black Bean Soup

We found this soup recipe of Food Network and the special ingredient is bacon. Here are the ingredients that you are going to need in order to prepare this dish: 10 slices bacon, two chopped onions, a can of chicken broth, six garlic cloves, 2 tbsp. of ketchup, 1 1/2 cups canned tomatoes, four cans of black beans, 1 tbsp. of chili power and 2 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce, salt, ground pepper, grated cheese and cilantro.

  • Directions

Take a pot and put it on the stove at medium heat. Toss the bacon in and let it cook for about 4 minutes. Once the bacon in done add the garlic in and stir. After a minute add the broth, ketchup, Worcestershire, tomatoes and chili powder. Let the cook for a little bit and add the black beans turning up the heat. Once the composition starts boiling lower the heat and season with salt and pepper. If you think the soup is done add the chopped cilantro and turn off the heat. When you serve the black bean soup squizz some lime juice.

  • Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Basically this soup is based on the regular black bean soup the only difference is that you add vegetables. Here are the ingredients for the soup: : 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil, one clove of garlic, one onion, two carrots, 1 tsp. ground cumin, 2 tsp. chili powder, two 15-oz. cans of black beans, a can of whole corn, 2 cups vegetable stock, one 14-oz. can stewed tomatoes and 1/4 tsp. ground pepper

  • Directions

Take a sauce pan and add some oil in. Place the pan on the stove at medium heat. Once the oil is hot you can add the garlic, carrots and onions. Lets them fry in the pan until they are soft, it will take about 5 minutes. Add the cumin, chili powder, black beans and corn into the pot. Bring to a boil and add the tomatoes and the other can of beans and reduce the heat. Turn off the stove after 15 minutes and serve.
